Fishena is a curated platform for fishing charters on the Croatian Adriatic — from bluefin tuna off Istria and Vis to a family morning in a sheltered bay.
Fishing means something different to everyone who steps on board: for some, it's the fight of landing a trophy fish after years of chasing one. For others, it's a first cast with their kids, or simply a quiet day on the water they'll remember long after the trip ends. Whether you're a seasoned angler chasing your next personal best, a parent introducing your children to the sea, or someone who's never held a rod but wants to try — Fishena connects you with captains who know how to make that day count.
How Fishena started
Fishena was started by fishing enthusiasts from Croatia and America — people who grew up on the Adriatic, and people who fell for it from across the ocean. Between us, we kept running into the same problem from opposite sides: the captains here are world-class, but finding the right one from abroad came down to luck and word of mouth.
So we set out to build what we wished we'd had: one place where anglers from anywhere can find Croatia's best captains, read honest reviews from real trips, and book straight with the person at the helm. Fishena is that place — and, we hope, the start of a fishing community that connects the Adriatic with anglers from every other coast.
What we stand for
The best captains, not every captain
Fishena is selective on purpose. Every charter is reviewed before it goes live, and most don't make it. The ones that do are captains we would book ourselves.
Reviews from real trips
Every review comes from someone who was actually on the boat. Reviews a captain collected from past guests before joining Fishena are labelled as such, so you can always tell them apart.
Booking straight with the captain
You book on Fishena and pay a small booking fee online. Everything else goes directly to the captain taking you out, and you can message them before you commit.
